1995-1997
In 1995-1997 in cooperation with the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, the company elaborated a legal framework that allowed to launch the licensing process for NPP personnel and NPP personnel training for the first time in the post-Soviet space. Subsequently in 2000, the foundations and principles of licensing of NPP personnel and NPP personnel training were enshrined in Law of Ukraine «On Authorizing Activity in Nuclear Energy» (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/1370-14#Text).
In 1995 the first projects of international aid in training of trainers and simulator training systems were launched. The company benefited from cooperation with world leading companies in the field of nuclear energy and nuclear safety as BNL, GSE Systems, PNNL, Sonalysts (all - USA), EDF (France), Tecnatom (Spain), Siemens, HGW (both - Germany), British Energy (UK) and others. Company experts acquired new approaches and technologies that were not previously used in Ukraine adapted and distributed them to NPPs. Joint projects have allowed the company to develop its own competencies and focus resources on two main activities - engineering of learning and the implementation of simulator training systems, including full-scope simulators.
Already in 1996, the successful cooperation made it possible to create a training system of NPP instructors based on the company. The system provided the initial and advanced training of NPP instructors, including instructors in the classroom, on simulators and instructors for maintenance personnel. For the first time in Ukraine, the company used the systematic approach to training (SAT) and the modular way of training course design, planning and conducting in the system of instructor training. Since then, the company trained annually on average of 30 instructors, and a total has trained over than 450 instructors for Ukrainian NPPs.
