1997-2007
In 1997 the company developed the Concept of the National Personnel Training System for Ukrainian NPPs. This document was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. From thereon, the company started considerable activity to implement the Concept and Program of the creation and development of the National Personnel Training System for Ukrainian NPPs. In cooperation with NPPs the company worked in different domains at the same time:
- regulatory and legal frameworks - development of national and local norms, rules and standards for NPP personnel training;
- training facilities and learning infrastructure - implementation of actions for planning and equipping NPP training centers;
- engineering of learning - introduction and application of advanced approaches and teaching methods; on this basis development of model curriculums and training materials;
- technical support for training processes - development of training aids and means, including full-scope simulators of power units, as well as automated (computer-based) training systems;
- training staff - training of instructors of various fields and mentors of on-the-job training, training of personnel serving technical means of training.
In 1999-2007 under contracts with GSE Systems (USA), NNEGC Energoatom and NPPs, the company's personnel were involved in the building of full-scope simulators (FSS) of NPP power units. At that time with the participation of the company, 7 FSS of Main Control Rooms and 5 FSS of auxiliary Emergency Control Rooms for power units of the Khmelnytsky, South-Ukrainian, Rivne and Zaporizhzhya NPPs were put into operation. In addition, during this period the company performed maintenance, model upgrades and modernizations of the FSSs aimed at enhancing the modelling accuracy and consistency with the operating power units. In total, the company has completed 35 contracts relevant to FSS modifications.
The delivery of each technical mean included training of trainers.
In 2005-2006 in cooperation with GSE Systems (USA), the company's personnel created and put into operation computer-based Analytic WWER-1000 Classroom Simulator with panel mimic for the Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry. At that time, the university has been managed by the Ministry of Fuel and Energy and trained specialists for the nuclear industry of Ukraine.
